Someday Isaac’s going to realize what pizza really is. And what it’s not. It’s not whole wheat pita bread, toasted with olive oil, covered in marinara sauce, sprinkled with cut-up chicken nuggets — no cheese. My little dairy-allergic guy was thrilled, though, and wolfed it down in slurpy silence. This Mommy felt a little badly that all he got was this lame-o quilted-together pizza all healthy and sans casein.
But today is G-day. We found Green things. We played a new Game. We made a Gift for Grandpa. We tried to Give Gavin the Giggles, and he Grinned Great biG. Then he Got Gas.
Later when we walk, we’ll wear Glasses. Great! :D

TV gets under my skin when it’s on too much. It’s the sound. The erratic jangle of the commercials.
So I’m playing music more for Isaac. And we have a pretty wide variety of music that I can access through the Tivo on the upstairs computer.
And what’s the kind of singing he’s taken to this morning?
Yodeling. Over and over and over and over.
Pearl Bodine would be so proud.
We should try a polka next. :-D

We haven’t quite figured out the idea that words start with letters. We’ll get it.
But today is “D-Day.” We Dumped Dominoes and counted their Dots. We watched Dinosaurs. We read a book about Dogs. We gathered the things in the house that would make good Drums (an oatmeal container, a gift box, a coffee can, a tambourine, and the tinker toy container). We made Drumsticks out of the tinker toys. We listened to songs and Drummed along.
We also Drew a big picture of Daddy and cut him out. Mommy did give Daddy 11 fingers accidentally, but it’s a start. Daddy “walked” in the Door and kissed everyone. Isaac insisted that 2-D Daddy go upstairs and work on the computer and make phone calls. Somewhere 2-D Daddy broke his arm. He now has an Elmo bandaid on his injury. He’s still eating lunch in the kitchen. I’m sure 2-D Daddy will need a nap soon.
Somewhere in the mix, Isaac had a tinker toy snack. Ugh. . . . have to wait for my surprise in the next three days.
Later we’ll go on a Daisy hunt.

Today is “C” day. Our “B is for Rabbit” (according to Isaac) day last week went pretty well. We colored a Brachiosaurus. We ate Bananas. We played Baseball. We cut the Fuzzy Pumper Barbershop’s hair. We made Bubbles. We forgot to make Banana pudding — maybe today?
Today we sang “C is for Cookie.” We were supposed to make Cookies, but Isaac wanted brownies, but they are made with Cocoa and Chocolate Chips. We’re going to play with our police Car later, and then make a Caterpillar and/or a Cat which we will Color.

Today’s project was making flubber. It was pretty cool. Isaac is a little timid about touching it, but Daddy’s having the most fun.
