Mr. Rogers’ Land of Make-Believe is having a drawing contest. Big Bird is even joining them, and Lady Elaine is submitting a Van Gogh. My favorite thing is that Mr. Rogers draws just like I do. His trees are blobs, his houses are rectangles with off-center doors, and his people have ovals for hands.
I’m feeling a tad better. Perhaps it’s all the Mr. Rogers. But I think it’s the Seabands. I actually ate lunch today, and it was yummy.
We started a new ritual — rest for Mommy while Isaac watches an Elmo episode. Yes, public television is a morning-sickness Mommy’s best friend.
It’s such a good feeling to know you’re alive. It’s such a happy feeling that you’re growing inside. And when you wake up. . . .
Only Mr. Rogers can sing so much suave jazz and wear a really, really nerdy zip cardigan. . . . And have a friend named “Mr. McFeely.”
