Take THAT Wal-mart.

How I relish hating that place. More than even Martha whom I do love too. No, Big-Box-Mart is truly evil.

  1. Oh, it’s everything. What Jib-Jab says about the way they take over and force manufacturers to undercut their price. The way they make you think they are the cheapest in town (but they are not!). The lousy meat in the meat department. The way no one talks to you when you walk in or leave. The mice I’ve seen in glue-traps in the cereal aisle. The way they are so poorly stocked and you can never actually find anything. The way the store is sooooo big that you actually lose it about 3/4 of the way through and throw things into your cart you never intended.

And look at your town, momlinda! Look at how Wal-mart took over and everything else went out of business. 🙁 Boo-hiss. . . .

  2. LOL Wow….now here is the way I see Wal Mart…They give a lot of people jobs. They worked hard to be where they are. Can I feel bad at someone for working hard enough to get ahead of me? They took a lot of chances to get where they are.
And, as for my town, Wal Mart was here before I was so I dont really know what it was like before. I’m sure it was a great folksy town with lots of enterprise and I will have to admit that downtown is pretty dead now, but, really, is that Wal Mart’s fault—Don’t really know!
I will agree that the people are not as friendly as I like but I assumed that was the “yankee” in them. I don’t care for the meat, never saw any mice in traps (ut have in car blower motors)! They are always very well stocked in our town. I do get more things than I intended when I go there. And my husband believes that the main requirement for shopping there is girth!
So, hey, I’ll give you some of that but I won’t agree with it all! (psst…I am usually for the underdog. It’s a personality thing!)
    BTW..I love reading your blog!
