We made our first “change” in Isaac’s routine in preparation for Gavin’s arrival. His diaper bag is now a Bob-the-Builder lunch box–small enough for him to carry, cool enough for him to enjoy. I need to put more than diapers and snacks in there. It needs a toy or two.
While Isaac was a soccer player in my tummy, Gavin does yoga. It’s very strange as I’m walking down the aisles of Target trying to find the perfect present for Gavin to “give” Isaac. We settled on some Matchbox car thing that Daddy thought was cool.
There’s much more laundry to do now that Sugar has discovered that Isaac’s crib drawer (where all the baby blankets are stored) is accessible and comfortable but only for the most persistent terriers. I need to finish Gavin’s Going-Home/Easter outfit. I did buy something that would work too, but it may be too big. I always buy too big.
Now to shop with Isaac for a birthday present for Gavin. I mentioned it today. Nonplussed. He is suddenly interested in the What Baby Needs book. And the potty book. Doesn’t want to read about why Mommy’s tummy is growing so big and her lap is growing so small.
