You need to see the friendship I see blossoming between my sons. I am definitely just an observer, but I have a front row seat to watch their bond strengthen.
You can see their first meeting for yourself. That was just under four months ago, and now Gavin saves his biggest guffaws for Isaac, and Isaac turns into a pretty creative comedian for Gavin. They have their own jokes, it seems, and play their own games of “keep away” and “see food” independently of mama.
Amazing.

The day we brought T8 home from the hospital, I sat down in our rocking chair, holding him, and asked toddler J10 to come meet his little brother.
He walked up and kissed him.
That was the first time he’d ever given a *person* a kiss. He’d kissed his stuffed animals, but his first kiss was for his baby brother.
(And my Mom happened to catch it on film.)
As my boys have gotten older, we HAVE had some struggles in their friendships and relationships. Part of that I think is simply the dynamics of having four small people, close in age in close proximity. But still, they are loyal and defend each other strongly, and have the most fun and laughs amongst themselves. And sometimes they let me in on it, too.
*NOW* I know how June Cleaver felt with Wally and the Beav were talking about “giving Lumpy the business.” I feel like June.
