Minding our Ps & Qs

P is probably the funnest food letter. Pizza, pickles, peaches, and pears are all favorites. We waited to paint, but we were too parched to do so in the garage. So we postponed that.

Today is Q, and it’s been pretty quiet since it’s too hot to be too quizzical. We went on a quest to discover the Q magnets on the fridge. We quacked a lot. We discussed quiet and quick, but we didn’t quite get it.

The best activity of the day (besides imitating the DirecTV repairman working outside) was making crayon cookies the size of quarters. We found the recipe thanks to kiddley, and it’s been a big hit. We even discussed solid versus liquid states of matter, but more importantly Mommy had to explain that these weren’t real cookies. A note to all those determined to try this with a disequilbriated tot: mixing colors is evil. All orange must be together, all blue, all pink, all green. Making rainbow crayon cookies is anathema.

Later we’ll practice actually drawing Qs, and that should fill our letter quotient.
