You know, if you have any questions, I won’t bite. I’m not evil. đ Ask me. I’m happy to answer questions. Especially since I’ve heard about all the misinformation that’s swirling around about stuff.
Oh. And one small thing. . . . Of course, I read the book! I’m not sure how that misunderstanding got started or why it gets repeated, but it points up a very obvious misunderstanding of what rhetorical scholarship is. I wrote a whole chapter of rhetorical criticism on the book. You can’t do that unless you read the text very, very intimately, over and over and over, combing through each sentence and word. Living in each metaphor.
So we can put that misnomer aside right away. Yes, I read the book. I really, really read it.
