So. . . .uh. . . .

We’ve decided to go back. Starting tomorrow. They’ve issued a full apology, and we’ve already signed a contract. Our salaries will be double what they were (and now normal for the same position).

  1. I was shocked when I read this, both by their apology and by your agreeing to go back there. Then I remembered what day it is and started laughing out loud. Good one.

  2. i was shocked until i read they doubled your salaries. then i knew i couldn’t be true. 🙂
    happy april fools day.

  3. I figured it was a joke, and then when I saw the word “apologize,” I knew for sure it was a joke.

  4. The “apologize” gave it away definitely! Unless you had said that YOU had to apologize. 🙂

  5. Hilarious! Yep, the apologize part gave it away. I’m pretty sure they have internal memos forbidding anyone from apologizing. It could constitute the basis of a lawsuit you know. Oh, and besides…..they are always right. No need to ever apologize!

  6. Got me, Camille. I laughed out loud. Apologize? I thought Petimus Credimus meant “We are always right and everyone else is always wrong.” Thanks!

  7. Hi Camille, I’m a friend of Grant’s from TCCA “85”. I’ve been visiting your blog and just had an opportunity to gather my thoughts… Spring Break. Your posts got my attention with the Marcy puppet. I had one of the records when I was really little and hearing her again almost freaked me out! I went through a few milestones of my own academically when I realized (as a PCC grad) that A Beka didn’t magically cure every student I needed to teach. A common thread in fundamentalism seems to be “this product that we are selling is the only Biblical way”. My prayer for you and Grant is that you will hear from lots of friends who are cheering you on as I am!
