Grrrr. Stories like that make my blood boil. It breaks my heart to see child abuse cases, but when the abuse is in the name of Christianity… What makes me most sad is the abusers in these stories almost always afterward describe how helpless they felt in raising their kids. They were looking for a way to “control” or “discipline” and were often at their wits’ end–and this advice was the “help” they got.
