My poor little boy, suffering so. he’s got two new teeth coming in, and his nose is so stuffy. the only comfy position is upright. so here we sit at midnight — 8 months one week and 12 hours after I first held you — listening to bach while you finally rest.
you just figured out that it’s easier to breathe if you hold your fingers just inside your mouth. but a drip of drool hits me down front. somehow i doubt i’m going to church tomorrow.
i don’t mind, i’ll stay up all night if that’s what you need, really i will. but i think your decongestant is working now, and you’re breathing easier.
growing up is so hard. you took your first steps with support yesyterday — whimpering as you went. you desperately want to crawl too. haven’t quite figured that out yet.
we started another school year. i advised students in my office wth you helping me today. you’re such a welcome addition to my school year.
well, let’s go join your daddy now. i think you’re ready. i love you, son. thank you for giving me such joyful moments even at midnight. i thank the good Lord for you every day.
